Course Outline
Materials needed: A4 sketchbook, pencil 2B, eraser, waterproof fine liner pens, watercolour /
gauche (black, white, red, blue, yellow), brushes round.
Warm-Up & Style Exploration:
Quick gestural studies through various exercises;
Try different line techniques and patterns
Research and comparative art critique – loose vs detailed floral styles.
Shapes &
Proportions
Study the shapes of flowers;
Proportional measures;
Understanding petal overlap or leaf foreshortening.
